As the United Kingdom prepares for a change in leadership and a new Prime Minister takes office, the NBCC is pleased to convene an exclusive closed-door roundtable discussion with His Majesty's Trade Commissioner for Europe, Ceri Morgan, bringing together a select group of senior business leaders in The Hague.

The discussion will provide a unique opportunity for businesses to exchange views on the evolving EU–UK relationship, the implementation of the current EU–UK Reset agenda, and priorities for the future direction of UK–EU cooperation under the new Government.

At a time of growing geopolitical uncertainty and increasing focus on economic security and competitiveness, the conversation will explore both the practical implications of current EU–UK initiatives and the wider opportunities and challenges facing businesses operating across both markets.

Topics are expected to include:

• mobility and skills;
• trade and market access;
• financial services and investment;
• economic security and competitiveness;
• industrial policy initiatives such as Made in Europe;
• innovation, energy and future growth.

The roundtable will be structured in two parts:

Part I – EU–UK Reset: State of Play and Implementation

Ceri Morgan will share reflections on the current EU–UK Reset agenda and the implementation of key deliverables currently under discussion, including SPS cooperation, ETS linkage and CBAM, and mobility-related initiatives.

Part II – Looking Ahead: The Future of the EU–UK Relationship

Participants will be invited to share their perspectives on the future direction of UK–EU cooperation, including business priorities, opportunities and challenges arising from changing geopolitical and economic circumstances.

The session will be held under Chatham House Rule to encourage an open and constructive exchange.

This event forms part of the NBCC's ongoing efforts to strengthen the business voice in the evolving UK–EU partnership and to facilitate direct dialogue between policymakers and industry leaders.
