We are excited to announce another event from NBCC Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Forum. Join us at "NBCC Equal Pay and Financial Empowerment". It will be an online event on June 22, 2023 (13:30 – 14:30 CET).

Equal Pay Day will take place on the 10th of November. From that day till the end of the year women technically do not get payed as they earn an average of 12.7%(!) less than their male peers. This means they miss out on almost two months of loans a year!

This is a reminder of the persistent wage gap that continues to affect women's financial well-being. This wage gap has far-reaching consequences, including a 40% pension gap for women and higher poverty rates among them.

❌ Women just can't negotiate.
❌ Women choose professions that don't pay well, don't they?
❌ Women have less ambitions.

Do these nonsense arguments sound familiar? Well, we are going to address them. This event will feature inspiring leaders in the field who will shed light on the importance of equal pay and financial independence for women. And most importantly, our leaders will give a step-by-step plan for your financial empowerment!
