The Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) is pleased to invite you to the launch of Take Back Control? by Rem Korteweg, followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A.
While Brexit is often portrayed as a uniquely British episode, Take Back Control? argues that it holds important lessons for Europe as a whole. The book explores how the United Kingdom and the European Union have changed since Brexit and what Britain’s experience reveals about the ongoing tension between globalisation, sovereignty, and democratic politics.
The panel discussion will reflect on:
- How the UK has evolved before and after Brexit
- What lessons Brexit holds for the EU and for the Netherlands
- The prospects for renewed EU-UK cooperation
Following the discussion, guests are invited to join a brief drinks reception and will have the opportunity to have their copy of Take Back Control? signed by the author.
Please note that this event will be held in Dutch and will precede the North Sea Neighbours Dinner.
