NBCC Drinks Reception – The EU-UK Reset: Sovereignty and Cooperation
Countdown to Start Date
Ahead of the upcoming 2026 EU–UK Summit later this month, the NBCC is delighted to invite you to an exclusive drinks reception at the House of Lords, taking place on 1 July 2026.
The evening will provide an opportunity to exchange views on the evolving EU–UK relationship in a shifting geopolitical context, with a particular focus on the role of sovereignty in shaping the next phase of cooperation between the EU and the UK.
As both sides look to reinvigorate their partnership, this gathering will explore how ambitions for greater strategic autonomy in areas such as trade, regulation, and key sectors interact with the need for closer cooperation. The discussion will consider whether the UK can align more closely with a more “sovereign Europe”, and to what extent both sides are willing and able to move towards each other, as well as what this means for businesses and policymakers.
We are pleased to confirm the participation of:
- Anton Spisak, Associate Fellow at the Centre for European Reform
