Dutch food company Delinuts visits UK market  on NBCC business development programme

Delinuts BV is a Dutch company that deals with the import and wholesale of nuts, dried semi-tropical fruit, chocolate products and various mixes. Delinuts imports from the countries of origin and works with local manufacturers, who take care of production.

In October 2004 the director and the export-manager of Delinuts went to the UK for a visit to potential business contacts. This trip was organised by the NBCC. Below you will find a description of their experiences in the UK.
“We have had a very interesting trip and we expect to get good results in the short term as well as in the long term. We started in London. The first company we met visits restaurants, hotels and catering industry in the London area. We showed them some of our products and they have asked us to send over some samples. gezond mix

The second appointment was on the other side of England, a company very similar to our own, with a focus on biological products. They had a problem with their peanuts and we have sent over some samples of our peanut products. They were also interested in the new products we offer, the flavour and mixes we offer suit and complement their current product assortment.

Our third and fourth appointments were with existing business contacts of Delinuts. It is always good to talk to our business partners again in person to see what our new products can do for them and to learn from their experiences with logistics and deliveries.

Our fifth appointment was with a very special company, one of the largest food Internet companies in the UK with a wide range mango slicesof products. This company, with a Christian background, works with people that have had problems in the past (drugs, psychiatric history etc.). This company might do the packaging and / or logistics for us.

Our last appointment was with a company represented by a very energetic American that liked everything about our products. We discussed all options and we are working on a follow up at the moment.
They were impressed with our creativity and all the possibilities Delinuts can offer them. We see this as a very good entry into the UK market.

We have had a very busy schedule and are currently planning a new trip to visit some more potential contacts in England. All in all we can say that everything was very well prepared by the NBCC.”
