FULL TIME INVESTMENT ADVISOR
IN THE UK TRADE AND INVESTMENT IN THE NETHERLANDS TEAM
- Contribute to the delivery of high value investment projects from the Netherlands to the UK;
- Pro-actively target and maintain frequent and wide ranging contact with companies in the Netherlands looking to establish or expand their operations in the UK;
- Work closely with clients in realising their investment projects in the UK and act as a trusted, professional and proactive advisor to these clients;
- Organise and attend seminars, conferences and exhibitions to market the UK as the number one investment location in Europe;
- Liaise with UKTI London, partner organisations, influencers and multipliers to generate and support inward investment projects;
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the team’s correspondence and its reporting and recording systems;
- Travel occasionally in the Netherlands and to the UK;
- Provide support to the Head of Investment.

The Duties and Responsibilities
- Excellent knowledge of the Dutch and UK business environment;
- Ability to deal with and influence customers at senior levels of decision making and develop and maintain these senior level networks;
- Experience of business development, ideally in an international context;
- Knowledge of and network possibilities in one or more of the following target sectors:
Information and Communications Technology, Professional and Financial services, Environmental Technologies, Renewable Energy, Recycling and Waste Management, Food and Agriculture;
- Experience of working towards and meeting demanding targets;
- Excellent networking, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to research and analyse complex information from multiple sources;
- Excellent relationship management, organisational and event management skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail;
- Good IT skills, especially MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
- MA/BA in a business related discipline or proven experience in the field is preferred;
- Fluent English and good Dutch, both written and spoken.
The contract will initially be for 12 months. The starting salary will be €2,508.19 gross per month, based on a working week of 36 hours. In addition, annual holiday pay of 8% and a monthly travel allowance are payable.

VACANCY
This is a high profile role that presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, driven, energetic and customer-focused individual with relevant business experience. Applicants should ideally be able to start work with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) as soon as possible and by 1st February, 2012 at the latest.
Reporting to the Head of Investment, you will identify and actively target companies who have the potential to invest in the UK. You will manage projects, giving advice and assistance to potential and existing Dutch investors and bring investment projects to a successful conclusion.
By doing so, you will contribute to the delivery of ambitious targets and to the delivery of the inward investment business plan for the Netherlands, the aim of which is to attract and retain high value investment projects, adding measurable value to direct investment in the UK.
