• be fully responsible for delivering high value investment projects in the UK from Netherlands;
         
• pro-actively target and maintain frequent and wide ranging contact with companies in the Netherlands looking to establish or expand their operations in the UK;
       
• market the UK as the number one Business investment location;
        
• work closely with clients in realising their investment projects;
        
• organise sectorally themed activities (e.g. seminars, missions etc.);
  
• travel frequently in the Netherlands and occasionally to the UK;
       
• engage with relevant stakeholders in the UK and Netherlands.

In this role you will:

UK Trade & Investment is the UK Government organisation that helps UK-based companies to succeed in an increasingly global economy and helps overseas companies bring high quality investment to the UK’s vibrant economy. As part of a small team, you will develop and deliver the inward investment business plan for the Netherlands, the aim of which is to attract and retain high value investment projects, adding measurable value to direct investment in the UK.

• excellent knowledge of the Dutch and UK business environment;
         
• ability to deal with customers at the most senior levels of decision making and possess excellent networking and communication skills;
       
• excellent account management and organisational skills;
        
• ability to work well with others in a small team;
        
• MA/BA in a business related discipline or proven experience in the field;
        
• in depth knowledge of and established network in one or more of the following target sectors: ICT, Business and Financial services or Environmental Technologies;
        
• • Prior knowledge of Foreign Direct Investment Promotion work.

The contract will be for 9 months. There is a possibility of an extension of the project period subject to its success and conditional upon agreement from UKTI London. The starting salary will be €3,288 Gross, based on a working week of 36 hours. In addition, annual holiday pay of 8% and a monthly travel allowance are payable
